Can't believe you knocked so many beautiful
architectural buildings down, which really said who and what
Liverpool was, and that was a sea faring history. Some of the NEW
BUILDINGS AROUND the Pier Head are ridiculous and don't blend in
with the historical buildings that you did leave alone.
Who gave these people the right to pull a whole city
down. I am from Liverpool and live in Canada. We have very few
of the quality buildings that Liverpool had. Thank God I was back
in 2008 and ran down to get pictures of the old St.Nicholas church
before they pull that down too! I am still open in regard to the
Leeds/Liverpool Canal but really can't imagine it at this point
flowing past the Pier Head. So much of the history has been taken
down and pretty soon the character of the city will no longer be
with us. Glad someone else commented on these buildings.
P.S. Taking down the overhead railway down was the
biggest mistake, it was the first of it's kind in the world, what a
wonderful tourist trip that would have made.
