I am from Liverpool, I now live in the posh part Hope Street, though I may add that, it is in a social housing accommodation.  I was born down the road in the other part of Liverpool by the docks. I love this city and very proud of it, it's independent spirit, every one has an opinion in this city and all are not afraid of giving it. My father, uncles, brothers, all where sea men. My eldest brother was killed in the Battle of the Atlantic. My mother had her husband and two sons away at sea during the war. My brother who was killed, when only about twenty proposed in a local pub that all those who lived in the area, Dingle, should split up shipping lines as he realised that fathers sons mates all from the one area sailed together on the same ships. He proposed that they all split up because if they went down then whole families and parts of the community would be killed, which they did. That  is what you call community spirit.
