Sefton Park Palm House, Liverpool

When we where kids we spent a lot of time playing in Sefton Park (Seffy). A wide expanse of green, many trees, thousands of daffodils in the spring, a boating lake and in the centre the Palm House, renovated at great expense for the pleasure of Scousers. Its free to get in and you can even have a special event or wedding. The conservatory at home is no match. It has exotic plants, statues inside and out. Go see it on a Sunday, have a walk around the park with the children or mates, and you will get a great appetite for Sunday dinner when you get back.

Comment "I have not visited the Palm House for over thirty years. I must go back there one day. It had such an exotic atmosphere with tropical plants and flaura. I used to love the warmth and the fragrance of this very special "greenhouse". Thanks for the beaut photos -the one of 'Highland Mary' (?) is exquisite"
